Pork Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork steaks (about 1/2 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, paprika, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Place the pork steaks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all the steaks are well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight to allow the flavors to develop.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the pork steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
  5. Place the steaks in the hot skillet or grill pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the steaks.
  6. Remove the cooked pork steaks from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the pork steaks hot, accompanied by your choice of side dishes like mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Note: It’s essential to cook pork thoroughly to ensure food safety. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C) as measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak.
